Hour of Power

January 30th - Feb 3rd

5 Days To A Stronger Connection To God

Monday: Lord develop our hunger for You. Help us to want you more than anything or anyone else in our lives. When we hungry for more of you Lord God, we’ll naturally be motivated to meet with you in prayer.
Help us seek deeper intimacy with you Lord God . Cause us to be willing to draw closer to you. Make whatever changes you need to make in our lives so as to allow ourselves to spend significant time with you Lord God. . Help us to pursue you with passion. Help us overcome complacency, Simplify our lives as much as possible so we won’t be too exhausted to invest lots of time and energy into prayer. Whenever we encounter challenges, help us view them as opportunities to pray and discover more about your plans for us
Tuesday: Lord God start every spiritually dead prayer engine. For those who may not feel like praying but know that they need to pray. Teach us how to crank our prayers to life like we would a stalled engine on a car; cause our prayers to begin to flow more naturally. Help us recognize our problems as opportunities to tap into what you can do in our lives to give your prayers clear substance, focus, and direction.
Wednesday: Get us a faith lift. Where we are discouraged by challenges we are facing, where we want to give up give us a boost . Where we don’t understand what’s going on, keep us close so we can hold on through every challenge
Thursday: Clean house from all lingering sins in our lives that can block the answers to our prayers, and also lead to spiritual sluggishness, emotional torment, and physical illness. Clean out our souls so that we let go of grudges and forgive other people
Friday: God strengthen our character. As we struggle through hardships gives us a valuable chance to grow in our character
We are determined to trust you God in the process. God use our struggles to change us more into the person you want us to become – someone who is more like Christ. Holy Spirit heal, correct, and transform us from the inside out.

Dear Community,

Another break-in was aborted today at 17151 Edinborough. Three young Black males in a green Durango tried to break-in through a window. There was a driver, look-out, and one to pry the window open. An alert neighbor was watching them and made his presence known and they immediately left the scene. Still be on the look-out for the burgundy van and now the green Durango.

I have no physical description of the 3 males. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same ones who have been causing all the problems.

It was reported to me today that a group of young Black males and one or two girls who live on the 17500 block of Annchester were caught after breaking into the house next door to them. They live in the 3rd house from Santa Clara on the even number side. The things stolen from the neighbors house were recovered by the police in the thieves house. There are 3 young Black males and there is a mother in the home. How many of the boys belong to her is uncertain at this time. When I have a house number I will let you know. These boys fit the description of the 3 suspicious males from before, late teens to early 20's average height and weight. Two are brown complexion and the darker one is the tallest.

We are not certain if they are squatters. It was investigated and we really don't know. However, the former owner,(walked away) said they were legitimate dwellers.

Dear Helen:

Please share this with the community, and I am sharing this with our church.

We need to start a prayer vigil for the young people who do not understand that God is our provider and who think they need to take from someone else. It is our duty and responsibility as disciples of Christ to teach and preach the word of God to others and to shine the Light of Christ on those who live in darkness.

Since we are not able to sit down and talk to these lost souls, we can pray for them. Prayer is our most important tool and the greatest weapon on earth and in heaven against all sin and evil. "The prayers of the righteous availeth much."

I am asking all of you to collectively and individually to create an awareness through prayer to these lost youth and young adults for "when two or more come together in Christ's name" whatever we ask for shall be given. None of us may be able to talk to them directly, but we can pray and ask God to shed some Light upon them.

Join me in this fight for our young people and our neighborhoods.

Blessings,
